Vault Scribe โ€” Support

A private, on-device vault and expiry reminder for your UK documents.

Need help? Email ForgeLabsSoft@icloud.com and we'll get back to you. Please tell us your iOS version and what you were doing โ€” but never send us your actual documents or personal details; we don't need them.

How do reminders work?

Vault Scribe reads the key dates from a document on your iPhone and schedules local notifications that warn you weeks and days before it expires. Notification text is generic, so nothing sensitive shows on your lock screen.

Is my data really private?

Yes. Documents are read and stored entirely on your device, encrypted with AES-256 and unlocked with Face ID or your passcode. There are no accounts, no analytics and no tracking. See our Privacy Policy.

What is the recovery code, and why does it matter?

When you set up your vault you're shown a one-time recovery code. If you turn on Plus backup, it's the only thing that can restore your documents on a new device โ€” we never receive it, so we can't recover it for you. Write it down and keep it safe.

How do I restore on a new iPhone?

With Plus backup on, install Vault Scribe on the new device and enter your recovery code when asked. Your encrypted documents are downloaded from your private iCloud and decrypted on-device.

How do I manage or cancel Vault Scribe Plus?

Plus is an auto-renewing subscription billed through your Apple ID. Manage or cancel it anytime in Settings โ†’ your name โ†’ Subscriptions on your iPhone.

The app read a date wrong โ€” what do I do?

Every extracted date is a suggestion you confirm, and you can edit any of them. Extracted dates are estimates to help you stay organised โ€” always verify the official date on GOV.UK or your original document.
